driver side window sounds "loose" when half-way down

Pull the door panel off.....just on top of the door, there are two metal things that are held on with one 10mm bolt each. One is a few inches from the front of the window and the other is a few inches from the rear. They stick inwards and have little felt covered things that sit up against the window. Mine were broken letting the window just kinda flop back and fourth......I would point fingers at those first, my ex g/f's were broken in her firebird too

my felt deals were broken too. went to junk yard problem solved. It seams to happen mostly on the driver side door( the one most often opened and closed). I think its caused from closing the door by pushing on the window instead of the door. That's quite a bit of stress on that little part. If you have tint on your window and it's cut and you don't know why. That felt part has broken off and your window is rubbing against it.
