Default Do these cars have brake wear sensors?

I have about 42,000 miles on my 2002 Z28. Will I hear wear sensors when the pads need replacement?

Many pad manufacturers know the importance of having good dependable pads on the car especially in case of emergency braking. This is why all manufacturers have wear sensors on the pads to alert the driver of worn pads. The only time you might not see wear sensors are on racing pads designed to stop the car and not for street safety. Racing parts also don't come with the same long warranties that OEM parts come with because of high abuse and the need to manually check often. Racing pads should be visually inspected regularly. This is why some racing pads may not come with wear sensors.
