engine noise

sure seems to be alot of engine noise when it is cold, goes away after it warms up. running Mobile 1 and it has 41000 miles, I have owned it a week

piston slap, LS1s are know for this, its very well heard when cold, but once summer hits and the engine is warm it gos away

just take it easy while driving untill the engine warms up

thanks, thats what I thought. Is it causing any premature ware?

also remember the AIR system runs for 20 or so seconds on start up when cold, it is quite audiable.

as long as you take it easy, like shifting at 2K you should be ok, just dont fire it up ice cold and go WOT

my window sticker said its got a block heater, im still trying to find that, otherwise im gonna put one in, im not fond of any piston slap at all
