I always stick with NON-synthetic (conventional DexIII) trans fluid. There are arguements for both sides, but when FLP build the trans for my WS6 they said to avoid any synthetic fluid in the trans, or any 4L60E for that matter. I follow that same advice for all my auto transmissions now.
I normally use Valvoline DexIII conventional ATF.

Any brand of Dexron III I would recommend. Specifically Valvoline is what I use. Stay away from synthetic trans fluids such as Royal Purple and Red line. They are too slippery and can cause premature wear of the transmission.
