Default Adjusting the hood, how?

The rear of my hood is contacting the fender at the drivers'
side corner. Has removed a little paint. GRRRRR!
I looked in the Helms, tried that stuff, eventually
loosened all hinge/hood bolts but could not move the hood
far enough over. Loosened all top fender bolts and
managed to move the fender back a hair, but the
hood/fender is awwwful close still. Also, that same rear
corner of the hood sticks up a little. The helms says to lower the stop.
How in hell is lowering the stop (front of hood) going to
bring the rear down?
BTW, I believe I replaced one or both hinges and the
hood 3 years ago after THE GREAT DEER INCIDENT, LOL.
Anyone have any experience adjusting the hood from
side-to-side? I'm not stupid with wrenching, but this
body stuff is alien to me.
TIA.

OK tried again. I was wrong about the stops, that's for the
front of the hood,I misread the Helms the first time.
I was unable to get the hood to shift to the right more than
a little bit, not sure why. Anymore and the hood tabs would
not line up with the "catches" on the body.
It's like the hood is positioned in one place and only the
hinges move from side-to-side when loosened from the
hood.
Also the drivers' side hinge sits higher than the pass
side, like it's sprung. No adjustability there.
Sigh. Well at least it's barely touching now.
