headlights flickering my headlights just started doing this recently it comes and goes i noticed my alt gauge also surges with the headlights. bad alt or tensioner or belt? need help. thanks

Exact same problem here.I do however have a slight burning smell in the car when this happens. I think there may be a short behind the headlamp switch.I think the reason the lights go on and off is that there on a relay not a fuse. My battery and charging system seem to check out ok and all other power options are working 100%. I'll pull the switch out later and report back.
