Checking Alternator
Checking Alternator How do I check if my alternator is doing what it's supposed to? Car has been acting weird on start up latley. I check the battery, and it's pulling 14.5 volts. It's still good I guess.

Bring it to autozone and they can test it in car,I heard that take cable off test is for when cars had generators not alternators.From what I have heard you could damage the alternator or computer with voltage spike.
