Ripped bellow
Ripped bellow I just recently purchased a MTI Clear Lid and as i was in the process of installing the lid i notice two 2 inch tears on the bottom of the bellow, 
They tried to fix it with some electrical tape which was bearly in tacked on the side of the rip, can this cause permanent damage or loss in power? hopefully the same idiots didn't mess with the MAS.

Yep, as it's unmetered air it's having the same effect as any other vacuum leak. Possibily messing with fuel trims, etc.
Just replace the piece.

i would think that if the tear gets bigger....it can't get any smaller.... that it could cause the motor to chock out or stall. to much air and not enough fuel. go ahead and replace it bro...i'd go with the SLP smooth bellows kit. it's fairly cheap and will cause less restriction in the airflow thus giving you more HP. not much but every little bit helps, ya know.
