Default Winter Problems :(

We've been having a blizzard like storm the last 3 days here in South Dakota. I've been driving my old 76 Ford pickup around because I plan on storing the Camaro but couldn't get it in the storage shed in time to beat the storm. Anyway, I've been starting the Camaro a couple of times everyday and letting it run 10-15 minutes to assure nothing goes wrong. Because today I tried driving it so I could get the Pickup in the shop and put new tires on it, I started it, let it run for 20 minutes, cleaned off the windows etc. Then as I was idling down the driveway and went to hit the gas my car clunked a couple times then died. I was like well ****, sat there for a minute, tried turning it over, and it's turning but clunk, clunk, makes a whisper type sound. And won't start.

Right now it's sitting a little bit out of my driveway and a litttle in the street, which is luckily a wide street. I think it might be frozen fuel in my lines or ice on my filter, but it's hard telling. I don't like taking my car to mechanics since they are expensive but I'm not sure what's wrong and I think we might have to have it towed and taken in somewhere if we can't do it ourselves. I just need it to run to get it into storage, I would hate to let the car sit not running for so long. The car has always been stored winters and is pretty cold blooded, HyperTech Thermomaster Chip, 160 Stat, CAI etc. I've heard that CAI can suck up snow but I don't see that happening considering the cap that's on them. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

By the way the car has a half tank of gas so I know that's not the issue.

I would try and get it some place warm first off. Get in into your garage and let the car "dethaw". I dont drive mine out in the winter and I had no problems starting her up after sitting for 4-5 months. Then again, she was inside the garage. Cant be much help to ya. But I do know how ya feel as I am in your neighboring state.. Good luck.

Just let it sit someplace warm for a day and then try to start it and see what happens.

Here in Fargo we got freezing rain which is never good.

Fargo huh yeah im up there in grand forks my car is already put away for the winter though

do you ever make it to interstate dragways over in sabin?

sorry didn't mean to highjack the thread or anything i would definitely try to get the car parked in the garage to let it thaw out if you do think its water try pouring a can or two of heet (isopropyl alcohol) in there to displace some of the water
