why isnt my brake light working?

Default why isnt my brake light working?

91 chevy lumina

the bulbs are brand new....the fuses are fine. for some reason the left brake light does not come on. The tail lights are working however. any ideas?

the car is 15 years old. you prolly need a new battery.

If you haven't got it figured out...

Could be a few problems... First and formost, make sure you have the correct bulb. Check the socket, and connection to make sure the contacts are intact. IE. corroded/burnt terminals.

Easiest way to do it, is check power at the bulb socket/connector with a multimeter. If you don't have one, go buy a 5 dollar one at Napa, it's a must have tool.

If you have power, and the circuit is grounded properly; you'll have your answer.

I don't know **** about Luminas. Is the 3rd brake light in front of the rear window, or in/on the trunk?
