Default think im screwd

ok i was driven home from work today and car started to run like complete crap like it was hittin on 4 cylenders.limped it home the ses light was flashing and then stayed on i checked it with my diablo tuner and it said p0300 random cylender misfire..checked my air filter and sure **** thier was snow on it from driving to work this morning so im assuming i sucked water into the motor..my question is should i change the plugs and see if it goes away..they are ngk tr55's and have about 16k miles on them. i also put the paper filter back in. just wondering if im going to be spending alot of money in this(haveing to rebiuld) or if its something easy.. car still runs just like **** under load and it idles fine......
anybodyelse have this problem b4..i was gettin pissed on the way home so i floored it when it was running rough and it seemed to go away at WOT but when driving slow it was all shakin and ****.....

Your maf is probably wet. Just let everything dry out and probably a good idea to change the plugs.

Change plugs, clean MAF, put in dry filter (which you've done), and prolly change the oil. I sucked in some water last spring, and it did the same type of thing. It runs great now though.

I got the P0300 code today too. We got snow/sleet and when I went out to defrost the car, I let it run for about 15 min, and the SES light was flashing. I killed it and waited a little while, now it stays on steady. Had it scanned and got the code. I put some MSD wires on the driver side a few weeks ago to replace a few bad ones and haven't gotten the other half done. I think I may have some fowled plugs b/c the PCV valve let about 2 quarts of oil get into the motor on a trip 2 weeks ago. So I'm going to take it to the dealership on Tuesday to let them deal with it ( I got an extended warranty when I bought the car in Feb.).

Yea, I will. My car has 51K now, had 42K when I got it. I got the extra 4yr, 48K mile warranty the dealership offers. Hopefully I won't get too much greif out of them for gutting the cats and the cutout. Some dealerships try to screw you for doing mods to the car, even when it's not the cause of the problem. I already put the facory airbox on so there'd be one less thing to argue with them about. Check to see if you have oil mist in the intake from the PCV valve. I'm willing to bet I've got a fowled plug or two from the POS PCV valve.

If new wires don't fix it, idk what else it could be besides a coil or bad connection somewhere.

Take some carb/brake cleaner and spray the MAF out- dirty snow may have left residue(?) on the bars/wires. My car runs bad every once and a while and I do this and it clears up everytime.

Glad you got it fixed. I took mine to the dealer today and they didn't find anything wrong. There were a couple of misfire codes in the history, but none showing now.
