Default Ram air on NoN-WS6's?

I recently got into an argument with a fellow fbody enthusiast and she told me that the ram air hood was avaliable on trans am's and formulas without having to have the ws6 option... i thought the ram air hood was only avaliable from factory with the ws6 option? Do trans am's or formulas without ws6 option have ram air hoods? does such a thing exist? i say NO but i need proof... lemme know what yall think i may be wrong, but i hope not... thanks

show proof too if possible, thanks

I don't believe you could get a non ws6 with a ws6 hood on it. The only way you could would be if the dealership had done it as a add on once it got there.

Well. for one, pop the hood and show her that on a trans-am the functionallity is not present just from looking at the nose. It doesnt go directly into the airbox.

WS-6...it is obvious. your right, she's wrong. done!

End of story.
She is wrong, unless she's referring to a Firehawk.

This would in fact be the only way. A lot of dealers did that with '04 GTOs to move them off the lot, thinking that a ram air appearing hood would make them more popular. Don't think dealers really had a hard time moving Trans Ams though, back when they were still being built I hardly ever saw many of them sitting at local dealers for very long.

But anyway, if it was some sort of dealer add-on (not even sure if any dealers actually did that with 4th gen T/As), then it's still not actually a factory option.

Point is, a Ram Air hood is part of RPO WS6. As far as I know, there is no RPO for just a ram air hood alone.
