Default need help

well two days aago i relized my drivers side o2 sensor was unpluged how thats happened i have no idea. well yesterday i go to start my car (after id been driving around and it was running fine) and i hear this pop noise i thought nothing of it at first, i drive about 100ft and it starts to bogg down to like 400 rpms. after about another minute or so it went back up to its normal rpm and drove fine. well now everytime i turn the car off it does this, and sometimes it does it longer. so i reset the pcm today thinking maybe it just wasnt reading the o2 right and it took it almost 30 minutes to reset to run ok, and then about 30 minutes later it started doing it again. the weird thing is you can give it gas and it will go up in the rpms while it doing it but it sounds like it struggling and you can smell gas, sorry for the long post but i wanted to be descrete.

Just a couple shots in the dark.

If the O2 wasn't working, the PCM probably dumped a bunch of fuel into the motor "limp home". If you have cats, they could be toast.

Also the O2 sensor could be gummed up after not being used for a period of time and it's wrong properly now.

I would change the plugs and try replacing the the front 02 sensors. You can swap the back sensors to the front to see if that helps.

Last thoughts, if the harness was "plugged" tramatically, might want to check the harness, it's possibly could be damaged.

I agree with these suggestions. Your O2 system is way out of sync and it may take some run time to get it back. I would definitely clean the plugs and try to check if there is oil in the cylinder heads (hard to do that). Clean things up, run it for a couple of days as normal, and then check to see if any codes are hanging around.

You also might want to find out how that O2 sensor came out!
