Rattling front drivers side

Rattling front drivers side New 2 site, posted message in wrong spot. Anyhow, I keep hearing this rattling noise, front drivers side, only happens when car isn't moving. I put my foot under the car one day, put a liitle prssure on the pipe and it stopped. Does this mean that the pipe is loose or is it something else??? The mechanics in my area are flippin idiots, so whatever you guys can tell me helps.
You might have a loose exhaust heat shield. Those are the tin pieces of metal between your exhaust y-pipe and the floorpan. Or, one of those shields might be bent so that it is contacting the floorpan, and vibrating. Put the car on some ramps, grab a rubber mallet, and start hitting on stuff to see if you can recreate the noise.
