oil change intervals?
oil change intervals? i changed my oil about 2,500 miles ago and my car is telling me i need another one. could this be normal because of my driving habbits or do i have a leak somewhere. there are no puddles underneath the car either. i used mobil 1 last change. thanks!!
did you reset the oil change light last time you did it?
i use to work at jiffy lube, i for 1 dont think the light is accurate at all.
some how it goes off the temp of the motor and rpms and other things like that and some how it knows when it needs to be changed.
i still do every 3k or sooner when i had m1 5w30, but i also got it for free.
i no longer work there and i put some amsoil 5w40 and imo the amsoil is far better in every way over the m1, but ill change that around 4000k-4500k mi

Personally, I let the oil change light tell me when to do it (about 5000 miles or so) since I run German Castrol.
maybe thats why because i didnt change the oil change light. and i changed it only 2500 miles ago. the light only comes on for the first 5 minutes after turning the car on. and i have heard that amsoil is WAY better than mobil 1 but i just dont know where to buy it.

Mine just came on today its been 3 months but only 2700 miles or so what gives. I properly reset it and had Mobil 1 put in. Is this unusual my driving has been mixed, but I just drove a lot yesterday. Please help thanks
