Default gauge needle help!

can you put the gauges needles back on a car if the car is running? i took mine off (long story) and now theyre a little off. its hard to put them back on and get the right when the cover is off. i was going to take the clear plastic over off of the black and put the black on and then the needles on, so the pegs stop the needs from dropping wher ethey shouldnt when power is supplied. is this the only way to correct this? pls help!

Yes, it's possible, I had to re-install mine, so I plugged my tuner in set my cruise at forty and carefully replaced the needle while driving down an empty road. Needless to say, it wasn't the safest thing to do, but I got them on there. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that if the cluster is not screwed down, it will pop out of the connection in the back.

Good Luck
