Default A/C not blowing through upper vents

Ok,

My A/C compressor went out and I removed the belt. Now when I turn the controls for the fan to come on... It only blows on the floor and defrost, It will not blow air from the upper Vents..

Any ideas on what this could be.

Thanks

Our flappers run off of vacumn.Have you done any other work to the car lately? There's a tiny line coming off the back off the intake on the pass side. You can also check the line behind the control unit inside the car.It could be the switch isnt functioning as well.I'd check all the lines first.

I found it.... WhiteRhino was right... There are three tiny line on the pass side under the hood, There is a black plastic three way valve of some type that broke...Do I need to find this valve or will a three way tee work?

If I need this valve, where would I find it... at the Dealer?

Thanks

See if you can get the part of the T thats still good off.If so,just go to a parts store and see if you can match it it with a T or Y.I dont think its a valve. Its just a T.If you cant find one at a parts store you should be able to get one from Lowes or Home Depot. You could use a brass one from the home stores.

If not you'll have to go to the dealer.Which they usually stock little parts like that.

I got one at the dealer and it was realitively cheap as I remember. Definately under $20. I did have to call around to find one. Have them do a search of dealers in the area that have the part and you can call them up and go get it. Good Luck.

I also had this problem and came up with the same resolution.
