Is 0W-40 a suitable oil?
I run Royal Purple 5W-30, and have never had any problems rain, shine, snow and all. But I agree that you should run the German Castrol, or one of the others mentioned. I've heard that M1 5w-30 is a thinner 5w-30, that is why I chose RP over it. Couldn't hurt to try it out for ahwhile, as long as you have oil, your car isn't going to blow up right away lol.

Mobil 1 crew? I run M1, but the 5W40 is on hold for a little so i switched to the GC until then. I might try the Belgian Castrol(5W40) and see how it compares to the M1. Id like some input from others on this oil though.

As far as oil filters go, I highly recommend the K&N.
As far as the Beligian 5w40, I haven't seen any results in an LS1 just yet. Anyone here want to try it out and send the oil off for analysis at the end of the interval?
