Default Help with changing tailight bulbs!

Hey guys,
Alright I just looked up replacement tailight bulbs for a 2001 TA and the part number I got from Sylvania was 2057. So I went to autozone and I picked up a pair. I took apart my tailight assembly and when I pull out the bulb I notice something different. The base of the 2057 Sylvania Replacement bulb that I bought had a round base and the one that was already on the car had a flat or rectangular base and it had the numbers 3057 on it. I am a little confused as to which bulb I need. Should I go for a 3057 or will the 2057 replacement bulb work? Also I have no idea on how to remove the old bulb out of the socket. Any input on how to take that out too? Thanks for the help guys!

I got a camaro and my camaro also has the light bulbs you took out of the t/a. I would make sure to replace with the exact light bulbs. I don't think you would be able to install a round end to the flat socket. To remove just pull up, this is how I took mine off my camaro.

Yea, I figured this problem out on my '95. You have to use the flat connector bulbs, the round one's won't work so just take the pair back that you have and get a pair of 3057's. They should run the same or near same price.
