Default check engine light after a belt replace

I changed the main belt on my 98 formula today. Everything went on fine and the car started up with no problems, all the gauges looked good.

Decided to take it for a drive, took it easy for about 5 minutes, all the gauges were still fine and the car sounded and ran great. I stop at the end of a dead end road and go WOT to about 70-80mph then look at the dash and the check engine had came on. The car still sounded perfect and the gauges were still fine.

I checked all my hook ups on the intake and maf, everything is tight and secure

What else could it be?

on a smaller note, I did spray paint one small thing inside my engine bay, let it dry for 30 minutes then put it back in the car before taking it for a drive. I doubt this effected it but just wanted to mention everything I did.

Get the code scanned (AutoZone does it for free) could be just a coincidence, but without knowing what the code is it'll be difficult to help

the code is p0102, referring to the maf and vaf circuitry

I'm not sure why it's throwing that code, I checked the maf, all the connections look fine and the car isn't running strange(which it should if the maf was not working)

Any other ideas?

btw, it's an aftermarket slp maf, I know these aren't recommended but I got it for free and have already sold my stock one. The car has been running fine with it for 30,000+ miles
