Default Broken bolt (Oil pan)

One of the long bolts on the back of the Oil pan- Broke after i went around a second time to double check the torque specs making sure they were all tightened and the amount of pressure was correct. The bolt went in bny hand jsut about the whole way till my fingers couldnt fit anymore than i torqued it in. Problem is the bolt snapped before the troque wrench could measure the spec. All other bolts are up and solid. Just the drivers side. And i had already put oil in it as I was going over everything.

The bolt broke a few threads outside of the whole in the block.

Will this leak? What should I do? If i should extract the bolt, What is the part number for that bolt on a 98 Camaro Z28

I did put on a new Oil pan gasket, and this is fresh synthetic Mobil 1 5W-30 in the car.

If I should extract- Would I have to drop the pan or would it be possible to do this some other way? Chances Are i'm going to have to drain the pan correct?

If you can drill a straight hole then I'd recommend a reverse
drill bit, this might draw it out before you have to resort to
screw extractors (which seem prone to snap off in the hole,
in proportion to the desperation & difficulty involved). Get
maybe a 1/8" and whatever the thread root size is on that
bolt (M8x1.25? I forget). Center punch and a tap for that
size, for cleanup, wouldn't hurt if you have to go tool
shopping.

I'd do it with the pan on, and shop-vac away the swarf.
Better than having the underside open whilst making flying
chips.

You do know those bolts are lb-inch torque and not lb-ft,
right?
