Default No power in low end

Car is an 02 SS with 21k on the ticker. M6. Bone stock. Upon take off the car seems to be missing power until about 3-4k RPM. Shifting to 2nd while getting on it doesnt show any power loss at all. Any idea why the loss of power?

This may sound rather simplistic but are you using at least 93octane gasoline? Because I put 89octance in once and the car was slower than a skateboard and felt like it had lost ALL low end torque. If this isn't the problem, it might be you need a tuneup.

well, I would say that the catback of choice you have is causing you to lose some lowend 4" is overkill on even a mild H/C motor. I would step down to a 3" or maybe a 2 1/2" setup. Do you have a cut out?
You might want to check into some 3.73's and ditch the stock 3.42's and see if there is a difference. (I know that there will be).

The car im talking about isnt the one in my sig, its a buddys car. Its bone stock with no mods at all and hes using 93 octane Tuneup is what i was thinking. The 4" on my car is perfect. Difference between running 4" and cutout?

First step i think im going to take with the car is the tune up. Prolly going to do plugs and wires, free mods and a computer tune. Im assuming on our cars thats what you would include in the tune up. Stock plugs in the car arent all that fantastic. Wires are ok, but plugs needs to go im sure.
