Brake warning light

Brake warning light I just changed the front brake pads on my 2000 Z 28 and every thing works fine, but now there is a red BRAKE light on my dash and it wonīt go. I have checked the fluid and itīs fine. Any ideas???

The light could be on due to a loose connection or bad switch at the brake fluid level switch or the park brake switch. You can unplug them so you could unplug one at a time and maybe isolate the problem, not sure.
It can also be the instrument cluster (IPC) or the Daytime Running Lights Control Module (DRL) or any of the connections.
This info from the 2002 Camaro/Firebird service manual and there is an 18 step diagnostic procedure and it requires a scan tool.

i really hope u broke the bleeder screw loose when u pushed the pistons back in. if not, u may have just said bye bye to ur ABS. the ABS is a one way valve and u should NEVER push fluid threw the opposite way. but, in any case, i think its time to take it to a pro.

Thanks for the advice the light is gone. I was afraid it had something to do with the ABS, but the problem was that the e-brake was just one click up and I didnīt notice it because it was so little. Now everything is fine and the ABS works too.
