Default Door panel issue in the T/A

My husband is driving me crazy about some slits/cuts/cracks or whatever you want to call them, on both door panels. I had only noticed a very small one on the driver's side when the car was first mine a couple of years ago. Now it's larger and it's on the passenger side too.
It is a 2000. Does anyone else have this problem or know what's causing it?

Mine are cracked also. It seems that it is common. I even did a search but I can't remember what the reason was. Some people were using some epoxy and such to strengthen the inside of the panal.

It's very common from many threads I have read on many message boards. And of course, mine in my 01 ta are cracked as well. (trusting we're talking about interior door panels)

For those who have answered that they have the same problem, you know what I'm talking about. And for those who need specifics, you're lucky you don't have this problem. This would be for the interior door panel. To clean both of our interiors we use Armorall and Meguiar leather wipes for the seats.
Could it be the window motor or some moving part, putting a strain on the panel?

I had a 99 WS6 T/A that did the same thing on the passenger door panel. Seems to be a common problem. I found a nice one in a salvage yard for $125.00 and just replaced it.

I had the same problem on my driverside door. I was talking with someone at autorama and he was telling me about a guy with an 02 TA and he only had about 4000 miles on the car and his had done it too and his sits in his gaurage. I think it was either a bad design or bad materials

Thank you everyone. I forgot to do a search to see if the same subject had been discussed.
At least it's good to know that my husband's TA is not the only one in the boat, but it sucks that there's not a fix to it unless you don't roll your window all the way down. Too late for that.
