TCS glitch

Hmmm TCS..Weird Well today when I got home from work, I decided to start my car up, it's been almost a week, and I know the battery is on it's way out cuz it's the original and sometimes has a bit of trouble turning over.
So today when I started it up it showed the TCS button on OFF, I never turned it off to begin with and I kept trying to turn it back on, but wouldn't go back on??? after it warmed up it went back on it's self????
Now a few days ago I gave the car a wash, it's kind of cold here, about -3.
Does anybody know why it would do this?

I test drove another trans am before I bought the one I have, the funny thing was tcs would not come on, so I poped the clutch in first gear to get it to spin the tires and the Damm thing kicked on!! I fixed that stupid car's tcs by tring to spin the tires, lesson learned if it stays off try to spin the tires, It will come back on. My current one has never done that.
