I second that german castrol 0w-30.. everything i've read says it has a real good UOA. I just put it in my car, can't wait to see the analysis.

I've used Royal Purple 5w30 and have no complaints, but I'm hearing a lot about German Castrol. I think I might give it a try.

It's not too thin. Even though it's a 0w30, it's actually thicker than the 10w30. The first number just means it will flow better in extreme cold. The second number means it has a viscosity of between 9.3 to 12.4 cst at 100c. Syntec 10w30 has a viscosity of 10.0 cst at 100c, while the Syntec 0w30 is 12.2 cst at 100c. So it's a lot thicker when hot. But it will flow much better in extreme cold. It's the best of both worlds. And because it uses a super trick base oil, it does not thin out like a lot of 0w30 oils would.
