I load up the car with refrigerant, and it doesnt blow cold out of the vents, whats the deal?..Whats the deal with the hot air blowing into the engine bay where the dryer, etc. hook up by the computer? please help!

Check to make sure your compressor is coming on. If it is only spinning but doesn't sound like its doing anything, it could be your clutch not engaging. As for the hot air, my friends car did this when he had a hole in his A/C line just behind the accumulator/dryer. Fill the dryer with the UV Leak Detect refrigerant and get the special glasses. You can find these at any auto store. Fill your system and turn it on. Make sure you are in a dark area when doing this so as to see the leak with the UV glasses. After you have found the leak it is only a matter of swapping out the hose and refilling. Hope this helps.

Check the wires traveling from the harness to the dash on the ac compressor. The AC pulley on our cars is notorious for rubbing through the wires causing the AC not to work.

its silver in color and cylinder shaped usually when your car is on with the ac working if you open your hood its a cylinder shaped piece with a tube running out the side and it usually has condensation on it if your ac is on. next to the belt tensioner. If you get a new compressor your gonna have to get a new accumulator too bu like i said its 270-300 bucs at autozone or napa or oreillys. hope that helps..

omg get the thing fixed if you dont know what the acumulator is, these system need a vacuum to get the air cold again. If you dumped alot of freon in it you could of blown all the o-rings or even if you can get your compresor going it probably would lock up because you just dumped 300psi of freon into the thing! a/c isnt like fixing a flat tire!
