Help diagnose this noise
Help diagnose this noise When I turn the wheel one way I get a clunk in the steering wheel....seemingly coming from the column up to the steeringwheel. Then when I turn it back the other way it does it again....and it keeps doing it when I turn the wheel each way.
What do you guys think it is?

Normally a clunking noise would indicate a worn out intermidiate steering shaft... You can see it on the driverside by the exhaust manifold... Might try lubing it & if that doesn't work you might just have to replace it... The fullsize 99-02' chevy/gmc trucks where real bad about this & even had a bulletien on it.

I dont know if this helps or not...but the car sits for about a month to 2 months at a time. Is any of the things that it could be really expensive??
