ses light on f***** man!! help! I got my headers put in about 3 weeks ago I got my cat tuned for the ses light it went great till about 1 hour ago my check engine light came on or service engine soon came on whateever what could it be? I have oil my car isn't over heating and I have a exhaust leak I doubt is that? What could it be and how fucked am I?
if the exhaust leak is before the 02 sensor, it can throw off it's readings and could be throwing a 02 sensor code (which would make your ses light come on obviously) Just take your car to any autozone and they'll tell you why your check enging light's on, i'd bet money it's exhaust related like an 02 sensor code
You can fix the LIGHT in 15 seconds, but not the problem. If it is something he forgot to delete (AIR or something), than he will simply have to get rid of that too.
One of my friends had his tuned after headers and stuff, they forgot to tune out all his codes and his SES light has been on for a while.

Heated O2's??
I installed my headers and got a heated O2 error a day later. This i because your O2 sensors are further down stream now due to the headers. You can use Rear Corvertte O2 sensors in place of your front ones. Or just get the code turned off in your PCM, which is what I done for now. May inest in some new O2 sensors in the future, but they appear to be occilating fine how they are. If wouldn't worry about the problem if it is this, it may not be. Many people that have headers installed this is the error code they get.

I'll bet that it's a cat effeciency code. All that nonsense needs to be turned to no report.. some cars have the issue, soem don't so most people don't turn them off and wait and see if you need it turned off before they do.

Ok I took my car already the erased the ses light and it came on cuz it thru the 02 sensor they told me if it keeps comming on that they will retune? What do u guys think is it a big deal

I have had ses light come on. If your headers are coated then thats your problem. It happens to some people. The ceramic coating gets on the sensor and it will throw a code. You may have to buy a new senor.
