hazards work but not turn signals

hazards work but not turn signals i have been reading the other threads and maybe it is the turn signal flasher unit. where is it located at and how to change it... my hazards come on and the turn signals dont work. it happend yesturday and i hit the bottom of the turn signal section and they came on what is the problem....

i had the same problem but the signals didnt even light up on the dash! take the singnal flasher out and shake it and put it back in and walllla
