air filters
But.... if you haven't already done so, get yourself a Holley or K&N Filter which you will never have to change and all you need to do is recharge them every 30-50,000 miles depending on the conditions you drive in. The filters cost 50 bucks and the cleaning kit is 10 bucks. Almost all of our sponsors carry them. try www.ls1motorsports.com.
but don't the LS1's have another air filter some where in the car??

I doubt it... the only time i would see the necessity of another filter is if your car is 2000+ and you put an aftermarket lid on there and need a little K&N Breather/Filter for the AIR pump hose that attaches to the silencers.

Flow tests? Before and after runs? etc...
How much do they cost? I didn't think there were any Donaldson products for F-bodies.
but you know how on carburated engines the air filter is on the top of the carb. well do EFI have filters anywhere beside the lid like that?

According to SLP's chief engineer the Donaldson filter that was part of the 345hp package that SLP offered on the 2002 F-bodies flows better than any aftermarket filter. Donaldson is coming out with a reusable filter that flows better than the Holly Power Shot and K&N but the Donaldson paper filter flows even better than the reuable Donaldson filter. They are expensive. You can get them at the "discounted" price of 3for $75.

That's all marketing . 345fwhp for sure, which is how they rate it but it's still a bit misleading. There's nothing in that package to yield a 40hp increase over say a '00 Z28.
