intake swap

I swapped my intake for an ls6 today and I picked up a check engine light and its not finding idle. I checked my vacuum lines and everything seems to be in place. Is this normal and I just need to get my tune updated now or do I have a problem?

that was deleted a long time ago when I did my heads. AIR system was removed also

I let it sit and now it kinda idles very roughly and I tried to drive it a few feet and its real boggy

That's not normal...I put in a ls6 manifold and it idles like it was stock. Get the code scanned and post what it is...sounds like a vacuum leak though

did you brake that peice thats on the back? umm i think its the oil sending unit?

Not sure if you touched the wiring going to the coils on either side but if you unpluged it you would only be running off of 4 cylinders and be similar to what you're discribing.

An easy way to check for a vacuum leak is, with the engine running, spray all over the manifold where it meets the head with throttle body cleaner or starter fluid....if your engine RPMs go up, you found the leak....I'd spray over the vac lines connecting to the manifold also...just try to spray in every nook & cranny where a potential vacuum leak could occur.

When I swapped in my FAST, I kept the Air system but eliminated the egr, never had a bog, car ran fine and kept Idle.

Doubt it would even run on 4 cylinders...

Make sure you reattached the little vacuum tube that goes on the MAP on the rear on the manifold....
