Anyone running 15/40 diesel oil in their cars? Doing some reading on another site it seems like diesel oil would be a good choice in oil. I have always used mobil 1 of some sort in all of my vehicles. Just curious if anyone has tried this or know if it would be a problem. I dont know if I can post the name of the site on here but most of your probably know anyway....BOB

Pm me if you want the address.

66% 10w30 mobil 1 and 33% 15w50 mobil 1 mixture in the summer + catch can + ported oil pump = no blow by and high oil psi on my 99.

So that would be 11.66w36.66. I've mixed different weight oils to get what I've wanted before, too. It's been a while since I've done it though. (I didn't know anybody else had done it until now)

Lingenfelter recommends 15w-50 mobile 1 with all their head/cam and blown LS1 cars....I've been running 10w30 and 15w50 depending on the weather...

amsoil 0w30 for me.... i have a ported ls6 oil pump and im gettin less pressure at WOT engine hot obviously than i did with my stock oil pump. i'm getting around 45-50 at 6500rpms. and at hot idle i get around 38. i'm gonna wait until i lose a full quart (lol) then put in one quart of 20w-50 synthetic or lucas synthetic. and i'm goin for a catch can.

5W-30 Castrol Synthetic Motor Oil.

Sometimes I use heavier oil, depending on the time of the year.

Just changed to GC today. Before had 10-40 M1. Anway only got like 10 miles on this oil change. I don't care what I"m doing in my car it holds like 65 psi by the stock gauge. I have the TSP ported LS6 Oil pump.......
