DRL/Turn Signal Problem...help

DRL/Turn Signal Problem...help okay...so my DRLs and turn signals on the front of my firebird aren't working...the bulbs still work...they'll come on when you turn the parking lights or headlights on but they don't get brighter for the DRLs whenever the parking brake is down...so b/c of this i also don't have blinkers on the front...still flashes fine in the car and on the back...flasher was replaced not too long ago...was hoping it was just a fuse but didn't find a DRL fuse...anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it???

I think the same thing just happened to me. Yesterday I noticed that when I tried to use either turn signal, I just got a solid green light indicating that the signals aren't working. My DRLs do not work, and the signals do not blink, but my parking lights will come on when I turn the headlights on. I checked both bulbs and they are both still good (both were replaced a few months back). So the DRLs/turn signals will not light up, but the parking lights will light up only when I turn the parking lights/headlights on. Is this the same problem that you are having? and does anyone know how to fix this?

I've had and have again, this DRL/ turn signal problem. The first time it happened It took me forever to figure it out, but I did find my problem. It was simply corrosion inside the connector. The corrosion was from condensation building up on the inside of the lens and collecting in the bottom, right where the bulb is. Simple fix was to get the corrosion out with a small flat head screwdriver. (note: there are four small pieces of metal inside each connector. Two on one side for turn signal and two on the other for DRL.) My DRL and turn signals both worked fine after I was done, until now.. I think I have the same problem again. I'd say its just a bad design.. I hope I was helpfull. Good luck

figured it out! The corrosion inside the connector had caused the connection wires on the bottom of the bulb corrode to the point where the DRL/Turn Signal connector wire corroded off completely. Just had to change out both bulbs and it was fixed...for now
