Angry WTF!!! This Is Strange

so i get out of work and i head to my car b/c you know it is nice here in chicago. Went to pop my trunk to take the T-tops off. Open the trunk and at the bottom where you put the T-tops in the holder there is a good .75'' - 1.0'' of water I have no idea how that got in there. I know that the trunk was closed. B/C A) i did not drive my car at all sunday so i was never in the trunk. B) On Monday it rained here and was chilly after work so i know again i was not in my trunk.. So WTF gives? How is water getting in there??

Any ideas???

Best thing to do is have someone lay in the trunk and spray water all around the areas where it can leak in and try to pinpoint the leak.

Mine filled up with water once after I had been loading some stuff in the hatch, I accidentally pushed the weatherstripping off on one corner. It wasn't really visibly noticable that it was off, but it leaked like all hell.

I found a good amount of water in my trunk on two occasions. I still haven't figured out why. I wash the car once a week and it stays dry. I have checked it after a heavy downpour and it's fine. But two times I have discovered water after a light rain. My only theory is that I must have been parked on the street when the water got in. I almost always park in the driveway. I always wash my car in the driveway. I'm thinking that whatever angle the car sits at when parked on the street vs in the driveway causes water to collect in the trunk.

Yesterday I enlarged the little hole thats on the black plastic piece that acts as a channel. Im thinking when it rains heavy that little hole restricts the flow of water
