Default AC fan possibly going?

When the AC is on the past two days I hear a grinding/rubbing sound coing from my vents and it seems the passenger side foot area. When I turn the fan up on the AC or switch it to MAX it gets louder. Also for the past few weeks it doesn't seem like just the normal AC or the split AC really is cooling off the car. I have to have it on Max to keep it comfortable for me.

Any ideas?

Don't know what's going on but I'd pull the blower motor/fan out and take a look at it - might find something. Just disconnect the blower motor plug connector, remove 3 small bolts and it pulls right out. I've removed mine a couple times cause small leaves have gotten in there and made a racket.

Passenger side under the dash, bolted to the air box - LT1s are probably the same.
