Low Coolant Light on and off?????

Default Low Coolant Light on and off?????

My waterpump went out on me, so i replaced it, but my low coolant light keeps comeing on and off. I check the coolant and its full and i see know leaks.

I get the same thing...My coolant is completely full and it's constantly on...Is it a bad sensor??

its a very good chance that it is low coolnt sensor in the radiator.

yeah i had the same problem, i just disconnected the sensor and it turned off. I just check the coolant on a regular basis.

I called the dealer for this part, they wanted $55 . Tried Napa but they don't carry the low coolant sensor Maybe a wrecking yard?

Are you sure you bled the system fully? Air in the system can cause that sensor to flash.

It may be 55.00 but its cheaper than a new engine!

These F-bodies are notorious for having bad coolant sensors..I would replace it,but thats just me.Some just ditch it and check coolant levels religiously.

if you didn't flush the system there is a good chance it is just mucked up with junk.

I used a 2 part flush by prestone part 1 is an acid powder part 2 is a neutralizer it will take about 1.5 hrs to do. Then filled with distilled water (no impurities) and coolant it now cools better than ever

oh and the problem went away too

I'd just disconnect it, my car doesn't even have one - think they did away with them on f-bodys in 2K.

depends on your engine. I got the LT1. There are two bleeding screws up top that you open with the engine running until coolant comes out. Then you wait until the thermostat opens and repeat. If you have an LS1, there is a bleeding procedure but its different. I don't know what it is off hand but there are several post about how to bleed it.
