Major door/window problem please help!

Major door/window problem please help! Recently bought an 02 TA replaced the window motor and before I did it I noticed the drivers window goes up and by bout the width of a pen doesnt go up all the way causing it to leak ect. Tried to adjust it but couldnt. I noticed that someone had obviously been in there before to replaced the regulator. Im guessing it was a backyard mechanic b/c they butchered up the fiberglass inside the door used a big washer to hold it together from the width of damage in the fiberglass. I just had the windows tinted last week and the window hesitates going down which belives me to think its the regulator. Tint is starting to come off the bottom of the window. Is there anything I can do to fix this or am I in the situation of having to buy a new door + repaint due to damage inside the frame of the door? Anyone have a drivers door laying around off a silver trans am I could buy?
