What is this? Hey guys, sorry for my ignorance, but i just bought this 99 Trans Am a month ago and didnt get a service manual. The top red light on the speedometer is on when i drive now, and i dont know what it means.

Yeah its your low coolant sensor. They stopped putting the sensors on 2000 and up cars because they were notorious for going bad. Do yourself a favor and go under the hood and right below your radiator cap, unplug the sensor thats wired in there. I unplugged mine and zip tied it to something near the radiator out of the way.
Of course before you do that you will want to check that your radiator is actually full of fluid. (Check when it is cold of course) But 99.9% of the time it will be with this problem.
The sensor is never going to work for very long even if you buy a new one it will go bad eventually.
