Default What is up with my exhaust?

My exhaust for some reason is rattling like CRAZY!!! All the bolts are torqued right and everything. What is the reason for the rattling? And keep in mind that it only rattles like crazy when the car is not moving(in park or at a stop).

Sounds like it might be touching/rubbing against something, i'd try to get it on a drive up lift and check it with it running.

Heat shields or broken cat? Hmmm... How could you tell if its either one? How would a broken cat sound like? Also keep in mind that the exhaust rattle also makes the whole car vibrate ONLY when the engine is completely warmed up and whenever parking/stopped.

The engine is loaded up and moves when the car is in drive. So you can have a ground-out in park and just the idle engine torque is just enough to move the engine off the ground out.

There is a pretty large, fairly poorly attached large heat shield in the gas tank area, and at the over axle pipe this is a pretty tight area.

If it only happens in park it should be easy enough to crawl under there and hear what is rattling. Put on a heavy glove (so you don't burn yourself) and touch things until the rattle stops. Then fix it.

Well i just figured something out. My ENGINE is causing all of this vibration. Once the car reaches the highest temperature and it sits either at a stop light(or just sitting there, or parking) the rpm gets lower(its at about 600rpm at a stop light). And all of this happened AFTER driving through flooded streets, lol. Do you guys have any idea of what it could be?
