quick question
quick question just installed line lock .... i needed a ground for the switch inside my car and i wanted the switch in the ash tray .... so i took the ash tray light out and cut the wires and used that ground wire. i didn't think this would cause any problems ..... now my gauge lights and my hvac lights do not work at all .... i checked the fuse and didn't show any sign of being blown ...

You just may not have grounded your line lock switch be cutting the ash tray light wire. That wire just might be power wire. You did not have to cut any wires to ground the switch. All you had to do was run the ground wire to some screw or something to the car body for a ground.
