Default CHECK GAUGE light flickering.

Alright weird situation. After installing my headers and Y pipe i know have a CHECK GAUGES light ever so lightly flashing. All of my gauges read fine, oil, amps, gas its all in good range. In fact just had the oil changed. Oil isnt even close to low. Well it only flashes when the car is at idle i give the car some gas and the light goes away? The car runs flawless as well with no problems. I have no SES light either. its just ever so slightly flickering. I did a search and couldnt find anything around this same except one guy who traced it back to bad knock sensors would that be doing it? Im gonna check the connections on everything like battery and alternator and stuff, but if anybody had any ideas help me out. I dont want to ruin this motor.

Default

It might be the exciter wire from the altenator. It's the skinny wire that comes out the top of the alt. going up by the headers. It goes into the same harness as the coolant temp sensor on the front of the drivers side head.
