Default Possible window motor problem, help please!

Hi guys, new the forum, sorry if a question like this has already been posted

My car has power windows, I was out installing a new shifter and I pressed the button to put them up. The passenger side went up just fine but the drivers side window stopped after going up about 3 inches. I took the key out of the ignition and the put it back in to 'start'. Then I pressed the window button again, and again it only went up another few inches. I repeated this until it was up. Is my window motor going bad ? If so, how much do you think it would cost to fix?

Yup, the motor is dying. Eventually it will totally die. Id say go to autozone and pick up their replacement. They have a lifetime warrenty. Use the "clicky" above and knock it out yourself. Once you know where to drill the holes the rets is easy.

Had the same problem, but turns out that the motor was new from the guy before and it was actually a metal rivit that was loose and shifting the motor a bit and causing it to overheat for some odd reason.
