Default blue smoke on start up

well i think its valve seals but ima see what yall think. If the car hase been sitting for a long time and i start it itll smoke blue. I know blue is oil. Car has a cam so when i start it sometimes i have to give it some gas to keep it from stalling, when i do that this is when it will puff blue.

First of all, if you have to touch the gas at all during startup to keep the car from dying, your tune is WAY off. You're most likely running pig rich. Your valve seals are suspect to leaking if you get blue smoke at startup. You'll also notice it when decelerating/engine braking.

block has almost 100K on it. The tune is rich but its a nitrous tune. i just installed a BBK throttle body on it and need to adjust the idle screw to raise it a bit. when I changed plugs it cured the stalling on start up but now its happeneing again. I think its cuz im using TR6's and havent sprayed yet. Iv heard for valve seals the heads dont need to come off. The seals slide around the valve stem and under the spring right? If the seals are gone im worried the guides might be worn. dont wanna pull it apart more than i have to. Maybe ill just get heads
