Default Transmission fluid fill

I spilled a lot of tranny fluid when I did a cam swap today. What kind of fluid is in the 6sp? I want to top off what is already in the car. Is it a special GM fluid? It was reddish-purple. Also, do you just fill it until the fluid comes out the fill hole when the car is level?

Transmission cooling lines run to the radiator on the Z51 C6 corvette to cool the transmission fluid.

My mistake, it was a reddish purple.....the transmission coolant lines are pumped to the radiator on the Z51 C6 corvette and the line snapped at the engine oil pan junction without me noticing and I came back to a sizeable puddle....

do you have any fill info?

Stock fluids are listed in owners manual. Sorry don't have the info on hand. You fill the tranny fluid until the dip stick reads full with the car running.
