Torquing exhaust manifold bolts???
I'm having trouble torquing my exhaust manifold bolts to spec. Is there any possible way to get them to spec? I can do it with some of them but I've tried everything I can think of with the others and can't seem to find a way to effectively get a torque wrench in there. I've tried extensions and joints and deep sockets and it's almost impossible to reach some of them with anything, let alone a torque wrench . Some people don't use a torque wrench but I'm afraid I can't really tell the difference between 20 or 30 or 40 pounds of force with any reliability . Anyone have any ideas or advice??? Thanks.

I go about a 1/4 turn past snug and I've never had any leaks or the bolts back out. You don't say if you have headers, but that's what I'm referring to. I would do the same with stock manifolds though. As far as getting something to fit, I don't remember what I used. I have a crap load of stupid tools I hardly ever use and something worked.
