Default throttle cable

Hey well my throttle cable sticks every now and then and i have to keep pushing the pedal in to get i to come back but the pedal itself does not stick only the cable what may cause this.
i have looked at it and i dont see it broke or bent.
Any thought???

I think a high quality silicone spray may do the trick. I had a WOT incident happen to me in a full bolt-on 5.0 in traffic...NOT FUN! An ounce of prevention...

Frayed cable could, but I consider this unlikely.
Loose snap-adjusters in one of the runs could
be stealing the spring return pull. Check that
carpet has not crept up to interfere with the
cable etc. A little bit of graphite lube (Lock-Eze)
wouldn't hurt.
