Why does my suspension creak??
Okay… this bugs the hell outta me! I put Koni SA's and DMS springs on my car last summer. Looks great, performs great but, the damn thing creaks everytime I get in and out of the car and I also hear it a low speeds whenever there is compression on the suspension parts. It probably does it at high speeds too, I just can't hear it. It sounds like some old jalopy that's been sitting in a barn for the last forty years. Are there "friction points" that I should lube or something? I am in no way a mechanic and have no idea where to begin to look to figure this out. One of you guys has got to be able to point me in the right direction.

No… I don't have a strut tower brace. Would that help? Most of the "creaking" noise comes from the front but, I can hear a little from the back as well. What about that?

You don't need to fully remove the bars but I would definately take the u clamps off and clean and re-grease the u bushings. A lot of grit builds up in there. Use a thick grease. I use a moly based gear grease.

wd-40 is good for finding the noises but no it is not agood lube. Use a thick grease, it will help on stock suspensions also.

Definately lube/grease everything you can. I didn't notice it until I had them any more but subframe connectors seemed to help with a lot of the squeaks and groans coming from my car.
