How do I bleed the power steering?

How do I bleed the power steering? The people who just sold me this car put a new power steering pump on the car yesterday as part of the deal in my buying this car, because the other pump was whining and I thought it was going out. Now the new pump is whining. How do I bleed the power steering system and should that stop the whining? I took the belt off today and backed the pump up but that did not help. Do I need to start over and empty the system, refill and prime? If so do I drain it at the pump or on a different part of the system? I fear the whining will wear out the new pump. Any help would be appreciated.

i did what my hanes manual said and i just spun the pulley and looked into the reserve till i couldnt see anymore air bubbles come out. now that i think about it did seem like a silly way to do it but it worked for me. if you decide to try it this way just check to see all the air bubbles are out.hope it helps

Remove the pump reservoir cap and turn the wheel from stop to stop.
