Angry Clicking!!! Starter/Connections???

Ok, when my car has been running for a while I shut it off and restart and it starts clicking. Another thing is that sometimes when i have the a/c on and it stalls from making a turn I have to get it jump started to get it going again. My question is, could it be my starter or the connections to the starter and alternator. I did replace the entire positive terminal about a year ago. Any suggestions..... Also, do you all think that it shouldnt stall out with the a/c after it being tuned, if so should I go take it back and get that bug worked out.. Thanks.

You can raise the idle speed when the a/c is on, should help you out. The not starting problem sounds alternator/battery related. How old are they?

The battery is an red top optima and is about a year old. The alternator on the other hand is the original.

We had the same problem on a 98 TA. It turned out that the engine block had a poor ground connection. We ran a new ground cable directly to the engine block (specifically, using one of the starter's mounting bolts through a hoop terminal) and the problem was finally resolved.

You say it only happens when the car has been running for awhile, the solenoid for the starter may be getting too hot. Had that problem on my 67 built a little heat shield for it and it works perfectly now.

Just my .02

Im going to wait a little bit longer till the starter gets worse. Like I said the grounding to the starter actuallly help the car out overall, would highly recommend this for everyone.....
